Nadine Chahine

In this newspaper project, I was assigned the type designer Nadine Chahine and had to layout a newspaper page about her. Nadine Chahine is known for Arabic typefaces such as “Frutiger Arabic” or “Helvetica Neue Arabic”. A great success was the “Zapfino Arabic”, which she developed with Hermann Zapf. It gave me great pleasure to experiment with different typefaces and especially languages. My personal highlight was when the type designer became aware of me via social media and took an interest in my work. I was even more pleased to receive praise from such an important design personality.
